We’ve provide a wide range of cooking utensils, pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery so you can whip up a feast or a lazy brunch. We also provide the basics; salt & pepper, tea bags, coffee and sugar.
Curl up by the warmth of the woodburner in the cosy armchairs, and finally take the time to finish that book, or enjoy a game of cards. We will provide you with a basket of wood a day as well as firelighters and matches.
Comprising of 2 bedrooms split across two levels, both rooms are furnished to a high standard with elegant ensuite facilities. The upstairs Master bedroom is a spacious super king sized room with stylish shower room offering panoramic views across the Shropshire countryside. Whilst downstairs, bedroom 2 offers the flexibility of twin beds which can be zip linked to form a super king sized bed and has its own luxuriant bathroom. Please let us know how you would like the bed to be made up.
A separate downstairs cloakroom is ideally placed for our guests and provides additional convenient storage.
To the front of The Shippen is a paved seating area perfectly appointed for morning coffee or perhaps an evening glass of wine. On balmy days, make use of the outdoor dining furniture to enjoy an al fresco meal. There is also a charcoal barbecue (please supply your own charcoal). The Shippen has its own private hot tub for use all year round.
Basic supplies are provided along with bed linen and towels. Surrounded by quiet Shropshire countryside, Moreton Hall Farm is set in beautiful countryside where you can relax, unwind and enjoy the use of our outdoor heated swimming pool during the summer months (June, July & August).
Our separate laundry facility can be used free of charge by our guests at anytime.
We love dogs (we have three ourselves) and you are welcome to bring two well behaved dogs over the age of 12 months with you for a small charge of £25 per dog. This is charged as a supplement and must be paid before arrival. We ask that no dogs are left alone in the property as they can get stressed.
There is ample private car parking space.

This is a fantastic self catering barn conversion. The rooms are really generous so it feels way more spacious than a normal two bed holiday cottage. It’s been done with really good materials, great equipment provided in the kitchen, both bedrooms en-suite and a spare cloakroom as well! It’s so nice when you go to somewhere where they haven’t ‘just provided four mugs!’
The farm is on a quiet lane 10 mins from Newport, plenty of parking right outside, lots of walks nearby and further afield.
Really helpful hosts – friendly and approachable.
